Be Elected -- In Odd Numbered Years, Precinct Chairs File For A Place On The Republican Primary Ballot Between September and December For The Primary Election The Following March. The Term Of Office For An Elected Precinct Chair Begins In June Of That Year and Is For A Term Of Two Years.

Be Appointed -- Outside Of The Election Period, If There Is A Precinct Chair Vacancy, The County Executive Committee (County Chair and Other Precinct Chairs) May Appoint A Person To Fill The Vacant Position For The Remaining Term. This Involves An Application and Interview Process With The CEC.
